The last time we were at the Tallest Poppy was when they were located on Main St. At that time we had a most fabulous breakfast sandwich.
My wife ordered the Mac and Cheese , but it was lacking the cheese, making it more like onion and cream noodles. We have had these issues before and it saddens me, mainly because when made right they are one of our favorites. If your willing to roll the dice for some 8/10 or 3/10 food, its worth the time on door dash. If you can go in person and mention your grievances to the staff there, it’s one of the better places to go to.

I’ve had their breakfast burrito and fried chicken sandwich, both were excellent. Service is quite good, and the meals are reasonably priced. The only complaint I’d have, albeit minor, is that the building is older, and smells of smoke. It wasn’t much a bother to me but I figured it’s worth pointing out. I was lucky to try their fried chicken fest entry and it was the best one I had. Staff is incredible friendly and lovely. All the food I’ve had is excellent and I cannot wait to order again soon and look forward to be able to attend a drag brunch when it is possible and safe to do so.

You can’t predict who will be eating there at any given time, from Guy Maddin to residents of the Red Road Lodge next door, everyone is given the same treatment. Every dish here is served up with love, respect and authenticity. Your server may just sit himself down at your table to talk before getting to take your order and trust me, he’s cute and charming enough to be a great addition to any breakfast. When the place is good, its really good. But it is very hit and miss, and the bad is extremely disappointing. I ordered biscuits and gravy and got just that, some biscuits , but just normal beef gravy along with it.
